Financial Analyst
OVERVIEW:
The Product Development Finance team primarily supports research and development initiatives by providing financial guidance and partnering closely with engineering teams. In this role, you will leverage financial systems such as SAP and forecasting tools like Anaplan to analyze current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to strong financial modeling efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and deliver monthly team reporting and forecast consolidation and submission with particular attention to meeting deadlines.
- Identify areas of opportunity and drive foundation process improvement across key finance deliverables such as monthly report, forecasting, and corporate consolidation.
- Demonstrate strong presentational reporting and formulated financial calculations which drive positive change to the R&D Engineering processes.
- Review purchase requests, purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial planning and reporting.
- Additional ad-hoc assignments and projects supporting departments across the organization including month-end financial reporting, longer-term Business Plan development, benchmarking, and process analysis.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Finance Analyst experience at an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Suppliers a bonus!
- Outstanding ability in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly high proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven technical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative and creativity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to senior management.
- Experience utilizing ERP system and Business Intelligence tools to support forecast updates, analytical review of actual results and annual budgeting processes; preferably experience with SAP/S4 HANA
