Talascend is currently seeking a hybrid Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Compliance Specialist for a W-2 contract located in Newark, California.

OVERVIEW: 


Talascend is currently seeking an EDI Compliance Specialist. This position requires a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain requirements for suppliers. The Specialist will lead communication between logistics, global supply management, finance, and suppliers to detail compliance challenges, propose corrective action, and enforce compliance to our client’s standards.

SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm PST.
3 days on-site, 2 days remote.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with the procurement, IT, logistics, and operations teams to onboard suppliers to exchange EDI information with the client, manage data interchange agreements, and resolve EDI related issues.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors to facilitate communication and resolution of EDI-related issues.
  • Identify areas of opportunity within the compliance process and collaboratively design and implement solutions to correct supplier compliance issues related to EDI
  • Lead and document the process of activating/deactivating supplier site locations
  • Monitor and analyze errors across EDI process (e.g., SAP and APERAK errors)
  • Conduct compliance review session with suppliers to introduce and implement resolutions to errors
  • Work closely with Logistics, IT, Operations, and Finance teams to forecast compliance financial impacts
  • Serve as an internal resource and subject matter expert for questions and issues regarding EDI compliance
  • Manage the relationship with EDI value added network provider (TrueCommerce) and oversee the onboarding of new customers
  • Develop, document and maintain business system support processes and workflows

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years experience in EDI supplier compliance or related field
  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management, computer science, engineering, finance, business administration, or related field
  • Deep understanding of EDI process and documents from demand to delivery including DELJIT, EDIFACT, and ASN (DESADV)
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated history of owning and solving customer issues
  • Excellent organization skills to maintain records and follow cadence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to think tactically and strategically, drive for results, and continuously drive innovation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with TrueCommerce or similar EDI providers is a plus
  • Experience in automotive or operations preferred

Pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
