Systems Engineer - ADAS
OVERVIEW:
System Engineer will contribute to the development and integration of hardware/software components related to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own specifications, system requirements, and system architecture for internal and external supplier-provided systems.
- Lead and contribute to validation tests at both the component and vehicle levels.
- Facilitate discussions between internal ADAS/AD development teams, external suppliers, and technical teams.
- Ensure compliance with ISO26262 functional safety standards.
- Implement simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and vehicle test approaches for efficient system validation.
- Define and build up test vehicle fleets, test benches, and calibration installations.
- Develop and improve test plans, conduct data analysis, and participate in feature validation tests.
- Enhance integration processes through automation and efficient test strategies.
- Utilize modern processes and tools for architecture, requirements, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 2-3 years of experience in hardware/software systems for ADAS or AD automotive features.
- Experience in designing, debugging, testing, and integrating complex hardware/software systems.
- Strong programming and data analysis tool skills (e.g., C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, CANoe/CANape/CANalyzer, CAPL scripting).
- Familiarity with automotive Tier 1/2 suppliers or OEMs and automotive processes/workflows.
- Experience with requirements management tools (JAMA, DOORS, Polarion, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of related experience or PhD without work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in ADAS/AD system engineering for mass production.
