Perception Software Engineer

OVERVIEW:
This role supports perception algorithm development for automotive applications, contributing to localization and driving features. It offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge sensor fusion, mapping, and embedded system technologies in a fast-paced environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain perception software solutions
- Gather system requirements and develop software to meet functional needs
- Fine-tune and optimize existing systems and models for high-performance computing
- Create and execute detailed specifications, test plans, and validation processes
- Perform post-implementation bug resolution and system enhancements
- Deploy models to embedded platforms like NVIDIA Jetson Orin or Xavier
- Interface with automotive networks including CAN bus
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors’ degree minimum, Master’s degree required for candidates <3 years’ experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering with strong skills in Python and C++
- Proficiency in Linux development, including debugging and system optimization.
- Experience with sensor fusion techniques (e.g., Kalman Filters, Particle Filters, Bayesian Inference).
- Hands-on experience with multi-modal sensor fusion for automotive applications.
- Familiarity with HD maps, BEV-based perception, and occupancy grid mapping.
- Strong understanding of deep learning models, including Transformer-based architectures.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle interfacing.
