Talascend is currently hiring an On-site Service Technician for a long-term contract opportunity based in Kearny NJ, serving the Rail Industry.

Responsibilities:
- You will primarily focus on repairing the “Train Coolers.” Dispatched to the customer to complete mechanical changes to the product, which is mainly repair work to be done by replacing defect parts on the hydraulic system and flushing of a coolant circuit to reach a specified level of cleanliness.
- Responding to customer dispatches for mechanical changes, ensuring clear communication and efficient task completion.
- Coordinating with various departments and overseeing third-party contractors.
- Participating in customer meetings and maintaining online documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards in the work environment.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of the NJIT safety test and receipt of badge prior to on-site work. (We will provide)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred 4 years of service experience
- Technical certificates are preferred but not required.
- Mechanical skills in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, and/or manufacturing processes.
- Ability to change hydraulic components such as pipe manifolds, pumps, motors, valves and hoses according to work instructions and industrial standards.
- Work independently, self-organized, efficiently and quickly following all provided work instructions for completing the repair/replacement.
- Ability to read technical drawings and write detailed service reports.
