Lead Systems Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity located in Torrance, CA.
OVERVIEW:
As a Lead Systems Engineer you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way businesses operate. Your expertise in systems engineering, project management, and technical leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and industry solutions. In this role, you will have a significant impact on shaping the future of our technological advancements and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects.
You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge systems that power innovative solutions. You will be responsible for the design and architectural aspects of complex systems, which may involve hardware, software, and network components. You will ensure that the system design aligns with the quality standards and industry best practices. You will be responsible for maintaining in-depth knowledge of relevant technologies and industry trends that you will apply to address complex engineering challenges and provide solutions that meet or exceed the required technical standards for your customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic direction for systems engineering activities, aligning them with the company's goals and objectives
- Systems integration and architecture development
- Team Leadership, including:
- Mentoring
- Staff capability development
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in systems engineering
- Must have proven experience in leading projects
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in systems engineering
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
