Talascend is currently seeking an Accounting Professional for a contract opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana

Remote Hybrid Schedule- 8am-5pm / Thursday & Friday in Office

SUMMARY:

The Accounting Professional position will involve interaction with various Accounting and Business departments and will include providing any business-related accounting items to various teams. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete tasks to provide accounting details\documents for AP, AR, GL or cash items to the Defense finance teams/buyer as requested.
  • Complete coordination efforts on data required by M&A group.
  • Complete other ad hoc requirements such as completing reconciliations, reviewing journal entries etc. as laid out by management.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excel skills
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Bachelors in accounting/finance or related field (required) and 2 years of Accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of experience in accounting or a Master's degree in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of experience in accounting
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Knowledge of general accounting such as accounting entries, reconciliations and analysis.

PREFERRED:
  • Demonstration of effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions, high volume of activities and multiple demands and deadlines.
