Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for an Electrician position located in Greer, SC. 

SUMMARY:
The main function of an Electrician is to install maintain and repair electrical wiring equipment and fixtures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Trouble shoot and repair all electrical issues with equipment ranging from 120v to 480v. Assist other programs with any electrical issues with their equipment.
  • Measure cut and bend wired and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Maintain tools vehicles and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
  • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Disassemble defective electrical equipment replace defective or worn parts and reassemble equipment using hand tools.
  • Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools.
SKILLS:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree or certification preferred.
  • 5+ years experience required.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Knowledge of 3 phase and single phase and 480v systems
  • Proficient in the use of Electrical tools ie. Meter and megger
  • Possess valid DL
  • Interpersonal skills attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of design techniques tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans blueprints drawings and models.
  • 3rd shift - Tuesday- Saturday on 3rd 10pm-6:30 am
