Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Technician for a contract opportunity in Greer, South Carolina
SUMMARY:
The main function of a Facilities Technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe secure and well-maintained. Troubleshoot power HVAC system and controls and mechanical systems.
Maintain general amp preventative maintenance carpentry plumbing systems and vendor management.
Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
Move office furniture machinery equipment and other materials as requested.
Follow all safety rules and regulations Follow direction Assist fellow team members
REQUIREMENTS:
Interpersonal skills attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage ones own time.
Basic knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
High school diploma or GED required.
0-2 years experience required.
Ability to use hand and electrical tools
Ability to make minor concrete repair
Ability to use man lift with training ie. boom lift / scissor lift
Ability to use Microsoft office / smart phone
Possess valid DL
