Talascend is currently seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for a contract opportunity in Tempe, AZ.

OVERVIEW:


The selected engineer will oversee a planned transition project for a subset of pneumatic valves, currently assembled at our Tempe facility. This role involves transferring all manufacturing documentation and tooling to a designated supplier. The engineer will serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for the project, liaising with the supplier, reviewing hardware for conformance, and making necessary dispositions. On-the-job training (OJT) and certification will be provided. The role also entails determining the necessary parts and tools to achieve manufacturing goals in accordance with product specifications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coordinate the transition of pneumatic valve assembly operations from the Tempe facility to the designated supplier.
  • Transfer all relevant manufacturing documentation and tooling to the supplier.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and the supplier, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
  • Review hardware for conformance to specifications and make necessary dispositions.
  • Identify and procure parts and tools required to meet manufacturing objectives.
  • Adhere to pre-established guidelines and instructions to perform job functions effectively.
  • Report to a supervisor or manager and collaborate with peers to ensure project success.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of experience in engineering or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field.
  • Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
  • Capability to work under immediate supervision and coordinate with peers.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience with pneumatic systems or valve assemblies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
