Talascend is currently seeking a Logistics Technician for a contract opportunity in Phoenix, AZ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Under minimal supervision, coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Responsibilities include tracking and handling high volume and high-cost material and equipment, and complying with asset management policies and procedures.
  • Duties include handling receipts, issues, transfers, physical inventory, records, and closeout for assets.
  • Compiles records related to the quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
  • Prepares inventory records and reports, and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
  • Verifies the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, tracking and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Experience in conducting government property inventory is required. Knowledge and understanding of FAR 52.245-1 is essential.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Ability to lift and move at least 35 pounds and be on your feet throughout the day.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Understanding of the inventory database management system (Equip, SAP) and basic computer skills.
  • Must be independently self-motivated and able to work within a team environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • AA degree and at least 1 year of proven work experience, or
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 3 years of directly related work experience.
  • Active military duty experience may be considered in lieu of years of experience.
