ServiceNow Developer

OVERVIEW:
This highly technical role involves designing, configuring, developing, troubleshooting, and implementing baseline and custom applications on the ServiceNow platform to support IT service management and automate business processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement new forms, workflows, flows, and scripting to create functional processes for customer use.
- Conduct development testing on implemented work and perform code reviews on others' work.
- Design and enhance applications related to Service Portal, ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, and CMDB.
- Leverage expertise in Workflow and Flow Designer and a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform.
- Apply knowledge of web-based protocols and standards, including SOAP, REST, WSDL, JSON, and XML.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, including at least 3-5 years in ServiceNow application development.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow platform capabilities and relevant areas such as ITIL, scripting, and object-oriented JavaScript.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-focused skills.
- US citizenship with eligibility to obtain federal security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include ServiceNow training and certifications, advanced knowledge of Discovery and CMDB, and experience with ITIL and project management lifecycles.
