Our client is currently seeking a Structural Engineering Manager for a full-time opportunity in Southern California.

Overview
Our client, a leading engineering and safety services company in the rail and transit industry, is dedicated to enhancing mobility, safety, and quality of life. This role involves leading the structural engineering discipline, fostering client relations, and driving new business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership and effective management of the structural engineering discipline.
  • Foster positive client relations and effective teaming among staff and departments.
  • Develop new business opportunities and lead proposal efforts for structures work.
  • Lead and perform structures project work.
  • Lead implementation of Quality Program in the structures discipline.
  • Assess resource requirements for projects and ensure the allocation of the right talent.
  • Forecast staffing needs and oversee the hiring process.
  • Provide mentoring and career development opportunities for staff.
  • Promote employee engagement and ensure a positive work environment.
  • Facilitate internal and external training opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of your team.
  • Provide recommendations for raises and bonuses for your team.

Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license is desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program required; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years prior structural engineering experience required.
  • 3+ years railroad and transit structures design experience including accelerated bridge construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and guidelines; engaged in continuous learning.
  • Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct presentations and participate in media interviews.
  • Represent the organization at important functions or conferences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Up to 10% Travel

Pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
