Prod Ship/Rec Clerk III
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming materials or prepare outgoing shipments according to established procedures
- Utilize computer systems to track, verify, and report shipments and receipts
- Unpack or wrap various items including finished products, raw materials, parts, and supplies
- Verify quantity, weight, and conformance to specifications
- Log receipt of goods and process related documentation (freight bills, packing slips, bills of lading)
- Post shipping weights and charges, route materials to proper destinations
- Follow all safety and handling procedures for goods
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (if certified)
- Maintain records and organize files for shipping and receiving documentation
- May train others and serve as a lead within the department
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of related shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
- Proficient in shipping/receiving software and inventory systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and apply good judgment in routine and non-routine situations
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
Work Environment and Scope:
- Semi-routine tasks requiring some use of judgment
- General supervision with guidance on new or unusual assignments
- Regular interaction with supervisors, peers, and internal/external customers
- May be asked to lead or mentor junior staff
