Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Technician for a contract opportunity located in Smyrna, TN.
Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to join our team and provide comprehensive maintenance support for our facility. This role ensures that the building and its systems remain safe, secure, and operational through regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and skilled in multiple trades including HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to join our team and provide comprehensive maintenance support for our facility. This role ensures that the building and its systems remain safe, secure, and operational through regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and skilled in multiple trades including HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
- Monitor building systems to ensure safety, security, and proper operation.
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on power, HVAC systems and controls, and mechanical components.
- Conduct general and preventative maintenance on facility infrastructure and systems.
- Perform light carpentry and plumbing repairs.
- Manage vendors and oversee contracted maintenance services.
- Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as necessary.
- Move and set up office furniture, equipment, and other materials as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and maintenance techniques.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 8–10 years of relevant facilities or maintenance experience.
