A Talascend client in Livonia has long-term, first-shift long-term contract openings for Mechanics.
Job Overview:
The Automotive Mechanic II will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Position Requirements:
Preferred (Bonus Qualifications!)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (weekends as needed)
- Start: Immediate availability required
- Pay & Benefits: Competitive
Job Overview:
The Automotive Mechanic II will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical systems
- Follow repair orders & service procedures
- Maintain vehicle records (service & repairs)
- Keep shop equipment operational
- Help with daily shop organization & clean-up
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience as a mechanic
- Own tools with a rolling toolbox
- Available for overtime & weekends
- Ability to read & follow written procedures
Preferred (Bonus Qualifications!)
- Automotive Tech Certificate
- ASE or State Mechanic Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of alignments, A/C repairs, & tire machines
