Engineering Materials Coordinator
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to get the correct engineering samples arriving at the right time at the right place.
- Collect macro material needs for all projects in concept phase, tear down the macro list (with systems required) it into an exhaustive list of Parts (p/n, revision/maturity level, fasteners, etc.). Coordinate with cross-functional teams for part requirement, ordering and tracking.
- Responsible to maintain the needs up to date all along the project’s life.
- Responsible to share the needs to the various teams that will supply the material, and control that the needs are processed in their systems
- Responsible to follow up on parts readiness, logistic (external and internal), dispatch to different teams in case of group delivery, up to the end user of the part.
- Responsible to maintain the inventory of the test fixtures, including bucks and full vehicles.
- Responsible to make logistic requests, internal and external (including international).
- Responsible to get parts inspection made and get maturity confirmed to match the expectation.
- Responsible to get parts inventoried at reception by the end users / test labs.
- Responsible to get inventory updated after usage/scrap of tested parts.
- Robust ordering, tracking, receiving, and recording vehicle and non-vehicle parts (e.g. Fixtures, tools).
- Drive sessions with DREs/TPMs to coordinate material for testing, builds at appropriate frequency.
- Maintain PO tracker from start to finish (from request through PR, in hands goods reception to invoice approval).
- Add value to the team:
- Facilitate all above steps,
- Help the different actors to support those needs. Do NOT act passively just transmitting only the information coming spontaneously.
- Proactively plan and coordinate the above activities, work with minimum supervision.
- Attention to details (e.g., parts revision, quantities, and milestones).
- Primarily assigned to Restraints and Safety Electronics commodities, the role may be extended to other VE commodities if primary mission would allow it.
- Bachelor of Science.
- Experience in logistic and or warehouse inventory management.
- Familiar with Automotive industry.
- Familiar with CAD system (BOM visualization only).
- Experience in MS Excel, Smartsheet.
- Knowledge of engineering change management system.
- Knowledge of Engineering Bill of Material.
- Knowledge of ERP system e.g. SAP.
- Merge or interconnect the Inventory database with the PO database.
- Organized and proactive, extremely tenacious.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external teams.
