Facilities Manager - Hyperscale Data Center
Our client is currently seeking a Facilities Manager – Data Center for a full-time, direct opportunity in Abilene, TX.
Overview
This role oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and efficiency of data center facilities. It requires technical expertise, leadership, and strategic planning to ensure reliability, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage power, cooling, and network systems
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- Coordinate infrastructure upgrades and expansions with IT teams
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
- Analyze performance metrics and drive efficiency improvements
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Supervise and mentor facilities team members
- Participate in capacity planning and budgeting processes
Requirements
- Must have hyperscale data center experience
- 5+ years in data center operations and management
- Knowledge of power distribution, cooling, and network architecture
- Experience with Work Order Management Systems (Corrigo preferred)
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability practices
- Leadership and team management experience
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Preferred
- Certifications: CDCP, DCPRO, or CDCS
- Experience with DCIM tools, cloud computing, and hybrid infrastructure
- Six Sigma or ITIL certification
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with IoT, smart building technologies, and BMS systems
- Background in MEP, HVAC, Power/UPS system
