Press Vehicle Prep Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Press Vehicle Prep Technician for a contract opportunity in Stanfield, Arizona
OVERVIEW:
This role will be responsible for the preparation of pre-production and production vehicles used for media events, from initial pre-delivery inspection to applying mechanical and other updates to ensure that the vehicles represent production state when used in the various media events.
The technician will also need to interact daily with other technicians and engineers.
Evaluation of vehicles to detect both static and dynamic concerns is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform incoming inspection and prep
Install wide range of updates to the vehicles including both hardware and software
Evaluate vehicle performance via test drives and identify root cause of issues
Troubleshoot and repair vehicle concerns
Managing vehicle preparation schedules to meet delivery timing
Cleaning and detailing vehicles prior to shipment
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required. Associate’s degree or some college coursework is preferred
Minimum 6 years’ experience in automotive dealership service area or automotive development testing.
ASE certification is highly preferred
Disciplined time management & capability to complete work on time to meet deadlines
Good verbal & written communication skills. Comfortable working cross-functionally with technicians, engineers & suppliers daily
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to work overtime as required, and travel within North America (approximately 10% required).
Prefers at least 4 years’ experience
Engineers may change shock absorbers for production, so they may need to change. A lot of it is with software, infotainment, etc. BUT – software updates on vehicles are good, shocks, brakes, interior trim components, window switches on all 4 doors.
Excel is required
PowerPoint - preferred
