You must understand OSHA regulations well and communicate effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to developing and implementing safe work practices and procedures for construction projects and tradespeople.
- Reviewing subcontractor safety programs for completeness and compliance with company policies, Federal, State, and Local regulations, and owner contract requirements.
- Assessing subcontractor training following OSHA regulations
- Promoting safe work practices and working conditions per company federal, state, and local regulations and owner contractual requirements.
- Administration of drug screening program (post-accident, random, cause) in alignment with company and project requirements
- Aid in the organization and management of preconstruction meetings.
- Assist with conducting orientation for new hires
- Gather Pre-Task Plans and Job Hazard Analyses for contractors based on requirements
- Assist with maintaining safety records (PTPs, JHA’s, training records, toolbox meetings, OSHA log, MSDS, incident investigations and metrics)
- Conduct Safety Meetings
- Conducted project site safety audits and work area inspections and developed inspection summaries. Recommend corrective action per company policy, and work with Superintendents to issue reports of violations or unsafe practices for immediate resolution.
- Identify and report safety violations or unsafe practices, emphasizing situations of imminent danger to life or property.
- Interface with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health or related field of study, and a minimum of 2 years of related construction safety experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Registration as a Certified Safety Professional or similar form of licensure as a safety officer, OSHA Safety, Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST)
- Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
- Familiar with Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations
- Well-acquainted with standard practices and procedures in the construction industry
- Aptitude for identifying safety issues and suggesting necessary improvements or corrective action plans.
- Exhibit qualities of self-driven leadership, collaboration, and communication to foster strong professional relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to details.
- Possess strong reasoning, sound decision-making, and aptitude for resolving complex issues.
- Possess a skill for receiving feedback and diligently following through with obligations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- The work environment for this position is an office/field hybrid setting.
- Travel to satellite offices required
