A Talascend client in Las Vegas, Nevada is looking for Fleet Support Engineers to be actively engaged in the operational uptime of their fleet of Autonomous Vehicles for long term contract opportunities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will be a technical expert adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams documenting troubleshooting processes and providing real-time support for daily operations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations for fleet issues.
Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and implement both interim and permanent corrective actions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for technicians.
Validate and perform component and vehicle bring-up/functional verification procedures.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.
Ability to review large data sets to identify systematic issues and inform preventative actions
Availability for night and weekend shifts as needed with advanced notice provided.
Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S. to support various operational locations.
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace or autonomous vehicles.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering is required
Ability to safely troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems
Proficiency with interpreting electrical schematics harness diagrams and state machine diagrams.
Experience with debugging Unified Diagnostic Services UDS issues.
Experience with fundamental network troubleshooting.
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively in real time service operation settings.
Embraces a holistic problem-solving approach to identifying issues with high-level vehicle functions and drive specific resolution into single components.
Self-starter ability to build relationships across the company.
Experience with electric vehicle technology preferred.
Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting preferred.
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics tools strongly preferred
Experience with Linux amp Python-based programming systems for fleet-level data processing preferred.
Familiarity with networking TCP and socket programming preferred
Experience with GPS/RTS debugging preferred
