Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a Production Supervisor position with a leading automotive manufacturer located in Lansing, MI.

SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor will be working on the manufacturing floor in a stamping plant. Currently, has two production presses with additional maintenance areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safely manage the day to day operations of two press lines.
  • Responsible for managing Union employees on a daily basis.
  • Insure that we sent the highest quality stampings to our customers.
  • Work with other departments to accomplish throughput requirements and ship on time to our customers.
  • Paying attention to our cost in order to meet our financial responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years experience required
  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
  • SHIFTS: 1st: 6:00am-2:30pm. 2nd: 2:00pm-10:30pm. 3rd: 10:00pm-6:30am
