Foreman - Conveyor Installation
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to lead a team of 20-25 conveyor installers in the efficient and timely installation of conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of conveyor systems and installation procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 20-25 conveyor installers.
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
Project Management:
Coordinate with project managers to plan installation schedules.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards of workmanship.
Ensure installations meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and guidelines.
Ensure team members adhere to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Training and Development:
Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
Focus on conveyor systems and installation techniques.
Problem Solving:
Address issues or obstacles during installations.
Troubleshoot problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and delays.
Communication:
Provide regular updates on project progress and address concerns or inquiries.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in conveyor installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role overseeing a team of installers.
Proficient understanding of conveyor systems, including mechanical components, electrical wiring, and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and effectively manage a diverse team of installers.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Deep commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to conveyor installation and construction sites.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Relevant certifications in conveyor installation, construction management, or occupational health and safety are desirable.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires working at construction sites and industrial facilities. The role may involve frequent travel to project sites and working extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
