Providing Holiday Cheer to 5 Military Families

Talascend, a nationwide, veteran-owned staffing company, takes great pride in our ability to help others during the holiday season and this year has been no different. The annual holiday giving mission, “Talascend Cares”, is a 10-year running tradition where the company chooses a charity, family, or a non-profit to contribute to, and in true Talascend fashion, pulls out all the stops to make this mission come to life.

This year, Talascend has proudly partnered with an organization called “Soldiers’ Angels” which is a national 501(c)3 charity supporting veterans in need. Their Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program provides the opportunity for businesses to support qualified military and veteran families that could use a little extra help this holiday season. The minimum requirement to adopt a family is to provide gifts for the children and a grocery gift card to help them purchase their holiday dinner and trimmings. The goal of providing these families with holiday support is to show America’s gratitude for the services and sacrifices not just for the veteran or active service member, but for their entire family.

Our nation’s military families experience so many uncertainties and gifts, meals and family experiences during the holidays shouldn’t be one of them. With big hearts and smiling faces, Talascend took on the mission of adopting 5 families across the nation to provide them with a holiday to remember. The collective efforts from the Talascend organization raised over $2,700.00 and was distributed evenly in the form of gifts and gift cards to each of the 5 assigned military families.

Veterans and active members of the military community are a tremendous part of the make-up of the Talascend organization. Our ability to lend a helping hand to those who have sacrificed their whole self to protect us, just scratches the surface to the amount gratitude we have for our nation’s military heroes. Soldiers’ Angel’s motto of “May no soldier go unloved † May no soldier walk alone † May no soldier be forgotten † Until they all come home™” is a beautiful testament to the amazing things they do each and every day for our military community and we encourage you to check them out.
