This is the branch of engineering concerned with electricity, especially technology and the design and application of equipment for power generation and distribution, communications, including telecommunications, machines and computerized equipment.

Electrical Engineering Certification

After completing a four year degree, the prospective electrical engineer will need to meet a range of requirements to be certified by the requisite professional body. In the UK this involves being chartered by the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) or the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) in the USA.
